Chris is the Head of Marketing for Plusnet, a BT owned award-winning national telecommunications provider. His own career journey echoes the rapid growth of the Yorkshire-based company with Chris working his way up from a temporary technical support role to driving the growth of the Plusnet brand. With a short stint on-loan doing marketing and communications at his beloved Sheffield Wednesday in-between. Chris’ enthusiastic and determined approach has seen a string of successes and award wins from his media and advertising strategies. Building on this, he is now responsible for delivering a significant multi-channel broadcast and digital approach to ensure continued to growth for both the brand and trading metrics.
He has also established a culture of continuous test and learn and demands his team to step out of their comfort zones and do things differently. This approach is clearly paying off with his team receiving regular award wins for their creative work – most notably a DMA Gold and IPA Effectiveness Silver award. Chris has been a Chartered Marketer for over 10 years and was shortlisted for the CIM Northern Marketer of The Year in 2017.
